Healthcare Information Management & Communications Canada is published by HC&CC, Healthcare Computing & Communications Canada, Inc., a privately held corporation. The magazine has been serving the Canadian Healthcare Community since 1987.

The magazine publishes articles reflecting current issues which pertain to today’s volatile Healthcare environment. We publish 3 issues a year and are revitalizing the “Resource Guide” online, which, in essence, is a tool for those interested in procuring consulting services and/or information technology and software applications.  We are proud to be the official journal of COACH: Canada’s Health Informatics Association.   We have enjoyed this relationship with COACH since 1987. As well we are the Official Journal of ITAC Health – the Healthcare Division of ITAC (Information Technology Association of Canada).  We are also proud supporters of Digital Health Week in Canada.

The magazine is an active supporter of Canada’s Academic community and enjoys partnership arrangements with several Universities including the School of Health Information Science at the University of Victoria, Dalhousie University and NiHi.   Our audience is reflective of the diversity of Canada’s Healthcare I.T. Industry. In context with the diversity of our audience, the content of the magazine tends to be colloquial as opposed to technical or academic in nature.

Due to the volatile nature of the industry, Healthcare Information Management & Communications Canada does not strictly follow a planned annual editorial schedule. Rather, the magazine attempts to keep pace with new developments and issues and act as a vehicle for delivering topical and timely in-depth information to its subscribers and readers. You may wish to review the content of the current and previous issues in the “HealthcareIMC Online” section of our website.

Our editors and columnists are all practicing healthcare professionals. They all have direct and extensive experience in varied aspects of healthcare informatics at the practitioner level. This, we believe, adds significant credibility to the magazine’s contents.
